Micro-prints and new color palettes highlight the latest collections

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. – As in previous seasons, before The Spring 2023 apparel collections take customers out of their comfort zone, while keeping them confident and polished on the golf course.

As more and more new golfers embrace the game, Anne Broholm, CEO, aheadsaid his business continues to evolve to meet their preferences, while continuing to attract his long-time loyal customers.

“Golfers have a desire to look good and feel comfortable,” she said. “While they like trends, our customers don’t feel the need to chase them. They embrace unique colors and patterns used in subtle ways to enhance their style, not advertise it. Our Spring 2023 collections for men and women are designed to evoke a sense of cohesion within the collection.

Spring 23 prints have layers of character and dimension, starting with the three new men’s collections. Micro-prints continue to have their heyday, especially among new golfers. All three collections feature whimsical prints including ukuleles, surfboards, palm leaves and shellfish, which coordinate perfectly with other pieces in the mix.

Sea grass, sunrise and flint. Tropical Rain Forest inspired this band. Seagrass green and deep gray (Flint) are enhanced by coral sparkles (Sunrise). The three colors blend subtly and harmoniously for a look that easily transitions from the office to the classroom.

Conversational impressions continue to drive aheadthis season’s fashion assortments. Each polo is finished with contrast piping at the back of the neck for a pop of color. Natural texture is evoked in the new LaPalma polo shirt with palm leaves wrapped in a vintage texture. The fun and lively designs of the Strummer (ukulele print) promise to be popular.

Slate, Vineyard & Oyster. Buzzard’s Bay evokes a quintessential New England coastal atmosphere, befitting a company that has called Massachusetts home since its inception. The muted blue of slate gray and oyster gray pairs perfectly with an occasional splash of faded vine red. To celebrate its coastal heritage, before the designers created a tone-on-tone nautical-themed print with sailboats and compasses (the Cuttyhunk polo shirt).

One of the most talked about pieces of the season, the Crustacean polo shirt is inspired by hand painted art and is a modern take on a classic.

Channel, soft yellow and carbon. Being taken to the island of Oahu in a sea of blue is the inspiration behind this band. Freshness and fun vibes are found in the easy-to-wear Canal Blue and sparkles of Mellow Yellow.

Youthful vibes take over in the fun and festive florals of the Mona Kea polo shirt, while ocean spray is evident in the surfboard print of the Surfs Up shirt.

There are new offers in before Essentials line, with an updated fabric that has a softer feel, cooling properties, accelerated moisture wicking and odor control. All Essentials styles work perfectly in all three collections.

The Potter is a dip dye, gradient, available in White/Grey as well as in True Navy; the Winehouse is available in Oyster, Coastal Blue and Ember with a subtle stripe; and the lightweight Cornell in Coastal Blue, Bay Blue, Vineyard and Ember.

For women, two new collections are unveiled for spring 23:

Peach, lilac and flower. This band was inspired by the color palette and terrain of the Arizona desert. The mixed patterns in peach, lilac and flower hues are a misty oasis in the arid climate. The tops have updated necklines, reflecting the intersection of golf and athleisure. Trendy skorts come in leopard print and tie-dye.

Sky Blue, Denim & Red. The tropical sophistication of the Florida Keys is evident in this band’s easy-to-wear mini plaid print and striking colorful abstract. Women who opt for this collection will find a balance between a carefree and elegant look. New details on the tops include contrast piping on the neckline and sleeves and a racerback silhouette.

Women also have an attractive mid-piece, the Brandi, which debuts in six colors: white, red, black, denim, white camo and sky blue dot.
