The return of ‘Emily in Paris’ to Netflix is imminent – and so are the show’s viral costumes, as seen in a first look at the series’ latest entry.
Although Emily Cooper (Lily Collins) often dresses brightly – sometimes extravagantly – in costumes created by legendary fashion designer Patricia Field, Season 3 seems to be toning down her colorful nature for a more French-inspired appearance. If you need more proof, just check out the new teaser photos from the show shared on Thursday on instagram. Viewers will remember the PR assistant wearing outfits with dramatic volumes, contrasting prints and patterned heels from Christian Louboutin, Alice + Olivia, Chanel and more in her first two seasons; while these themes continue, there seems to be an increased elegance around Emily’s eclectic personal style this time around.
In the photo filing, Collins can be seen wearing a dark green and white gingham print crop top and miniskirt, accented by a fruit print silk shawl. During a phone call, Emily can be seen in a red polka dot top paired with black high waisted pants and red leather boots; on the same street, she also wears a gingham print bra top under a black fatigues blazer. Two dresses — a spaghetti strap accented number in black and white, plus silver sequins covered in a silver turtleneck style — further affirm this chic streak.
However, Collins still has moments to wear Emily’s fancier outfit; one set features a neon mohair sweater paired with a green leather skirt and boots, while another features a vibrant paisley print blouse and sheer hoop earrings. Yet the most outrageous of the bunch focuses on the color yellow, seen in a pair of overcoats with daisy-print knee-high socks and checkered wedge heel pumps topped with crystal hearts. Photos of Emily’s new outfit come after the show revealed on instagram that production on Season 3 began in June.
However, fans will have to wait several months before Emily’s latest outfits return to the screen, along with those worn by characters such as Mindy (Ashley Park), Camille (Camille Razat) and Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu). ). The third season of the show, as confirmed by Netflix earlier this year, will launch on the streaming platform on January 10, 2023.
