Eva Longoria put an elegant and cheerful twist on traditional fall fashion on her travels this week.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, the “Desperate Housewives” star shared a new post where she strutted around in a grungy black minidress. Styled by Charlene E Roxborough Konsker, Longoria’s long sleeve knit turtleneck style featured a frayed hem with a distressed effect to the back. Rounding out her outfit are oversized black sunglasses and a power pose — plus Kurt Geiger’s $195 Velvet Mini Kensington handbag in whimsical rainbow stripes.
Longoria’s sweet Kensington is the latest iteration from Geiger, who added a cheerful pop of color to her outfit; the flap style is available in a range of sizes and finishes, with the rainbow stripe iteration seen in crystal, puffy, metallic and faux fur versions.
“Alexa play These boots are made for walking‘, Longoria captioned her post, which was cheered on by friends including Kerry Washington, in the comments.
The “Overboard” star’s outfit was completed with a pair of chic boots from her ongoing collaboration with European retailer Eobuwie. Longoria’s style featured an above the knee silhouette, with a stretchy black suede upper. Stiletto heels totaling at least 4 inches tall finished off the pair, giving her outfit a sharp finish. Similar boots are an ideal all-around shoe for the fall and winter months, due to their layering capabilities and full coverage. Stiletto and block heel styles with black, brown or tan suede or leather uppers are the easiest to pair with any ensemble and have become seasonal versions of their popularity – as seen in the new collections from Vince Camuto, Sam Edelman and Dolce Vita.
However, that wasn’t Longoria’s only highlight in recent weeks. In August, the star donned a pair of sultry sheer black pumps with a blazer dress as she arrived at the Citi Taste of Tennis event at Cipriani in New York City.
Longoria is known for her monochromatic looks, especially her workout ensembles with matching sneakers. The “Unplugging” star often wears matching pieces like crop tops, sweatshirts and leggings from brands like Alo Yoga, Girlfriend Collective, Athleta and more. The style hack is one of the most popular this year, creating streamlined outfits through pieces in the same colors and prints.
Longoria is an avid sneaker collector who frequently shares photos and videos of her home workouts on social media wearing shoes from Nike, New Balance, Asics and more. The actress, director and producer has also added “designer” to her resume with a collection of on-trend shoes, made in collaboration with European retailers Eobuwie and Modivo. For more formal occasions, however, Longoria favors pointed-toe pumps and sleek sandals from high-end brands like Christian Louboutin, Victoria Beckham and Gianvito Rossi, among others.
