A different type of ghost will soon take up residence in the former Lord & Taylor at Tysons Corner Center.

According to Spirit Halloween communications director Nikki Balles, the 7950 Tysons Corner Center location is set to open early next week, giving cheaters plenty of time to choose the spookiest party outfits and sets. .

“Unfortunately, I can’t give you a definitive date, as it could vary slightly,” she said.

In business for more than 38 years, Spirit Halloween has more than 1,400 locations annually, making it the largest Halloween retailer in the United States, according to his website.

Balles says Tysons’ location was identified by the company’s real estate team, who “work year-round to identify and lock in the best available locations.”

Lord and Taylor deceased Tysons Corner Center in January 2020, and since then it has been used intermittently as COVID-19 mass vaccination site until the Virginia Department of Health shut down those operations in March.

Perhaps unbeknownst to the Spirit Halloween real estate team, the liberated store has also been a hub for paranormal activity, according to local psychic Janie Daum, who told FFXnow last October that she had investigated strange reports related to women’s restrooms.

Whether the space is haunted or not, Balles says customers can expect plenty of Spirit Halloween surprises this fall, including new merchandise from pop culture favorites like “Ted Lasso,” “Squid Game,” and “Bluey”.

“We expect this year to be another killer thanks to our extensive collection of new and returning costumes, sets and props, as well as our line of industry-leading animatronics,” said Balls. “The strength of the brand and super fans allows Spirit Halloween to continue to expand our business footprint, increasing store counts and jobs each year.”
