‘In the Bag’ for Women’s Cancer Research – Lowell Sun


Chanel, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, oh the glamorous life… On September 23, the charming ladies of the Friends of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute organized their “In the Bag” lunch and a silent auction of vintage and designer accessories in outdoors under a beautiful white tent at the Pine Brook Country Club in Weston.

About 130 guests and their friends get dressed up and sip champagne while viewing the massive quantities of beautifully curated vintage and designer handbags at a silent auction, enjoying a hearty and healthy lunch, and listening. an educational conference program, all to raise funds in support of cancer research in women.

Founded in 1976, the Friends of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute has raised over $ 41 million to fund cancer research and patient care programs at Dana-Farber. They believe that philanthropy in the present makes future breakthroughs, cutting-edge treatments and better quality of care possible.
