“I think my view of beauty has changed dramatically,” reveals Jodie Comer, the multi-faceted actress who is redefining what it means to be a heroine on our screens. “Now, to me, beauty means comfort, feeling happy, content … feeling myself.”
In this exclusive video for Bazaar, our former cover star and winner of the Woman of the Year award reflects on her relationship with beauty. “I used to do a lot of makeup, but now I feel more comfortable with less makeup,” she continues. “I think it probably got a lot easier.”
Comer, who rose to fame playing Villanelle in a hit series Kill Eve, remembers some mistakes she made along the way. “I remember when the contouring and highlighting was pretty powerful and I would make a triangle of concealer, a big contour line and draw those lines around my face. It was. [beauty mistake]; I’ve had a lot! “She says she also used to overfill – and over-pluck – her eyebrows. Well, who hasn’t?
Today, Liverpudlian, 28, swears by a selection of luxury cosmetics for her signature clean but refined beauty look. “I tend to buy less product and have my holy grail that I stick with.” Frankly, we want the lot.
“After dissecting the contouring and the highlighter a bit, I will now bring out my contour and highlighter kit!” Comer said pointing to Kevyn Aucoin’s The Contour Duo. “But it’s very natural,” she adds.

When it comes to her eyebrows, “the most important thing to me,” Comer won’t part with her Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze styling wax (a product legendary makeup artist Val Garland introduced to her). “If I do the bare minimum, it still has to be brow gel. I can do anything once my eyebrows are raised and glued!”
She also shares her favorite shade for cheeks and lips (Living Libations Maiden Fern Blushing Balm), which she discovered on Goop; her favorite lip product (Westman Atelier Lip Suede) because “a good, bold lip can enhance your look”; and the trick to getting “the perfect cat eyeliner”.
When it comes to skin care, she’s loyal to Noble Panacea – the brand she signed on as an Ambassador for, while when it comes to fragrances, the actress reveals the story behind her signature scent, The Sandalwood Lab 33.
