Kim Kardashian’s latest cover moment came with an Americana theme, as seen in the latest issue of “Interview” magazine.
Posing for Nadia Lee Cohen’s lens, Kardashian wore a selection of Bottega Veneta ensembles styled by Mel Ottenberg. The first — and the most viral since its release — was the cover photo, where the Skims founder dons a blue denim jacket and jeans. Her outfit comes with a new bleached blonde hairdo and matching eyebrows, as well as a nondescript white jockstrap from Ottenberg.
In another snap, the “Kardashians” star goes grunge in a shimmering red Norma Kamali slip dress and thick leather Gucci choker, punctuated with silver spikes.
Other than that, Kardashian’s outfits mostly focus on variations of classic blue jeans and white t-shirts. One image finds her in a vintage white Varsity LA Kamali t-shirt paired with blue Balenciaga jeans. Another all-Bottega Veneta outfit features a white tank top, blue jeans and shiny brown pointy-toe boots.
Rounding out the op-ed is one of its riskiest, aside from the cover image: a black Saint Laurent leather jacket, paired with Ottenberg’s red, white and blue American flag-print thong.
In the accompanying interview with Ottenberg, Kardashian also touches on a range of topics, including being blonde, covering her face at the 2021 Met Gala, her passion for getting the wrongly convicted out of jail, and what she would do if she was not famous. The star also shares if she feels she still has something to prove to people, especially as a fixture in American pop culture.
“I think I’ll always feel like I have something to prove,” Kardashian says. “Even if it’s just for me. My next big thing is to finish law school because I’m halfway there. It really takes time. I have to study two hours a day with my teacher. I don’t have a day off because of this.
