Pyer Moss launches handbag and shoe lines for women

We now know what Pyer Moss’ team had up their sleeves.

After weeks of waiting, the New York-based brand has finally launched its first-ever line of handbags and its line of women’s shoes. Pyer Moss founder/designer Kerby Jean-Raymond confirmed the releases earlier this month with a billboard located in East Flatbush in Brooklyn, the neighborhood where he grew up.

“Our first billboard just went up. Guess where…” he wrote on Instagram. “Our first bag collection is coming out this month.”

The handbag collection is rooted in geometric patterns crafted from 100% Italian calfskin. Pieces feature a minimal gunmetal logo, detachable strap, top handle and zip closure. There is also an elegant “network” shoulder pouch; a “wave” shoulder bag in the shape of a hand; as well as an asymmetrical design adorned with padded magnetic hands. The bags are available in black and yellow colors.

As for the main shoes for women, Pyer Moss has developed a thigh-high “ceiling boot”, an open-toe sandal with a wrap-around ankle strap, an ankle bootie, and a heel sandal with a padded leather cover. The shoe offer is available in black, yellow and red.

You can get a closer look at the new pieces in the campaign images, shot by Shikeith and styled by Dara Allen, below. Handbags and shoes are available now at
