Southeast travels to San Diego to face San Diego State

SAN DIEGO, CA. – The Southeastern Louisiana University women’s basketball team takes on San Diego State in San Diego on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 8 p.m.

The Southeast (2-1) takes on San Diego State (2-1) on Tuesday night after falling to Utah on Sunday night.

The Lady Lions started the season strong with a 73-27 win over LSUA last Monday and began their road trip with a 78-68 win over Utah State last Friday.

So far this season, there have been several standouts in the veteran and freshman groups. So far, Junior Alexis Horne made his mark with a career-high 24 points scored in the game against Utah State and a season-high 13 rebounds.

Junior Hailey Giaratano was player of the game in the game against LSUA with 16 points, two steals, three assists and four rebounds.

First-year student Jalencia Pierre started his season with 16 points so far after playing against LSUA and Utah.

Senior Nathalie Kelly also played well defensively against Utah State with nine rebounds.

San Diego is coming off a two-game winning streak after losing its opener to Stanford 86-48. Their first win of the season was against San Diego Christian 81-30 last Wednesday.

Senior Sophia Ramos led San Diego with 16 points, four steals and four assists in the game against San Diego Christian.

The Southeast will return home for a short break before traveling to Mobile, Alabama to face South Alabama on Tuesday, Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
