PLATTSMOUTH – Happy Galentine’s Day!

For the second year in a row, a group of businesses in Plattsmouth town center will be hosting a special event this Saturday which is aimed primarily at women, although men, of course, are also welcome.

“The whole theme is geared towards women, like having a girls day out,” said Sarah Johnson, owner of Jean Marie Boutique, 530 Main St. “It’s 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be 10 businesses that will be giving out prizes, but more businesses are also expected to be open.

Plus, for every $10 spent, customers will have their name entered into a raffle for a $50 prize from each company.

Participating businesses are Jean Marie Boutique offering clothing, shoes, handbags and accessories for women; Herban Coffee Lab with specialty coffees and teas, gourmet pastries, apparel and accessories; Four 30 Salon/Boutique offering hair care, clothing and accessories for women; Quirky Candies/Riot Creations with freeze-dried candies, personalized cups, resin art, bath and body items; Refunk Cottage with Home Decor; Main Street Jewelers offering custom fine jewelry and repairs, home decor, giftware and kitchenware; DC’s waterhole offering great drinks at great prices; Mom’s Café with its large menu; and Wilkerson Art Works featuring the talents of Doug and Leslee Wilkerson, as well as painting lessons for those who wish to become artists.

“I’m still making a mystery bag,” Johnson said. “He’s back by popular demand.”
